Youth issue-oriented film screened

A movie screening for local teens and families is set for Wednesday, Nov. 9, at PM&L Theatre, 877 Main St., in downtown Antioch. The not-yet-released feature film, "LISTEN," focuses on the struggles youth face such as mental illness, depression, gang violence and self harm, with the intent of changing the way people communicate. The film is written from a youth's perspective, with actual youth providing stories that have been written into the script. A brief introduction will precede the film and a discussion will follow. Handouts for local resources and treatment options will be provided. Admission is free and seating is first come, first served. Visit www.listenthemovie.com.
