Shop early at Downtown Batavia's Holiday Market

Join Batavia MainStreet as it presents the third annual Holiday Market with the new addition of a Thursday Night Sneak Peek preview shopping night, limited to 100 ticket purchasers.

The event will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, at the Congregational Church of Batavia, 21 S Batavia Ave.

"This year, we wanted to offer a relaxing time for our customers to come and browse the market," said Ana Sheldon, coordinator of the Artisan Collective. "It will be a great opportunity to enjoy shopping with a friend while supporting local artisans and vintage vendors."

Tickets for the preview shopping night are on sale for $10 at many Batavia retailers. Purchase your ticket at Salvaged Heart Vintage, 14 N. Island Ave.; FAWN Gifts, 2 E. Wilson St.; The Tea Tree, 29 N. River St.; Furniture Dollies, 103 N. Washington St.; and K. Hollis Jewelers, 147 S. Randall Road.

Tickets will include your all access pass to shopping without crowds, as well as tasty desserts from local baker Knead, Crumb & Crust.

"Patrons who get their tickets will be able to see all of the one-of-a-kind goods first and could very possibly get all of their Holiday shopping done in one fun night," Sheldon said.

The Holiday Market opens to the public from noon to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12. Both days will include approximately 40 local artisans and vintage vendors. Vendor lists, as well as downtown Batavia retail business lists, will be passed out to all patrons to promote not only shopping at the Holiday Market, but continuing to shop local by visiting some of our downtown retailers.

"The Holiday Market has become a great shop for those wanting to purchase unique gifts for those on their Christmas lists," said Jamie Saam, executive director at Batavia MainStreet. "This year, we want to promote shoppers to not only enjoy patronizing the market, but to continue out around town and shop where their heart is, right in Downtown Batavia at some of our local retailers."
