Better on Mars?
The planet has existed for a long, long time. When it was born, it had more water, more pure air, more resources, like iron, copper (for more, look at the periodic table of elements.)
We still have the same amount of elements, but things like lead are now in our water supply. Carbon dioxide and other elements are in the air we breathe. So, what's changed in billions of years? My great, great (too many greats to mention) grandparents Adam and Eve started their family, which now comes to about 9 billion people. For those who don't believe the Adam and Eve story, there was my great, great ... uncle, the chimpanzee. He started the technology revolution when he developed a method for cracking open nut shells by hitting them with a rock. He started the Cyber Age.
So what we have now is a planet of the same size, the same amount of resources, but we have a larger family - of about 9 billion people. No more water, no more resources.
Thanks, Grandma and Grandpa and Uncle for the wonderful things you've done for (or to) our planet, but I'm thinking of going to Mars.
