Plainfield woman weaves love of Chicago Cubs throughout life

There is no doubt about it - Katie Ash is a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan.

It all started almost six years ago when the Plainfield resident and her husband Chris had their first date at Wrigley Field.

"The Stadium was hardly even half full. Today, the bleachers are overflowing," Ash says on her Facebook page.

Her August wedding included a red and blue Cubs theme, a baseball cake and her "something blue" Cubs garter.

She named her 2-year-old son Easton after the baseball bat manufacturer, and he donned Cubs gear as a newborn. In his two years, Easton has been to five Cubs games in three different ballparks, which is more than some of us grown-ups can boast.

And what kind of fan would Ash be if she didn't name her dog Wrigley. Guess what? She did.

"Love this team and all the memories that come with it," Ash says on Facebook.
