Elgin police investigate shooting that sent one to hospital

Elgin police are investigating a Wednesday evening shooting that put one person in the hospital.
At about 6:36 p.m., police responded to a call from a home in the 1800 block of Monday Drive. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.
