Authorities searching for missing Des Plaines girl

Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart is asking for the public's help locating a 16-year-old girl missing from the Des Plaines area.

The girl, Guadalupe Sanchez, was reported missing Monday from her home in an unincorporated area near Des Plaines.

She is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing around 140 pounds. She has brown eyes, shoulder-length black hair and wears braces. Her nose is pierced and she has tattoos on her left biceps and behind her right ear, authorities said.
