Lazarus House to host volunteer orientation
If you are looking for volunteer opportunities to help within your community and are willing to help your neighbors in crisis, Lazarus House, 214 Walnut St. in St. Charles, will host a volunteer orientation Saturday, Nov. 12.
Two sessions are offered that day: 9:30 to 11:15 a.m. with limited space available, or from 1 to 2:45 p.m. During these sessions, gain awareness of Lazarus House's programs, learn about the many ways volunteers provide assistance within these programs and tour our shelter. To register for the orientation, please contact Lazarus House at volunteer@lazarushouseonline.com or (630) 587-2144.
Lazarus House, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, provides Emergency Shelter, Transitional Living and Homeless Prevention services to those in crisis from within the Tri-Cities and western rural Kane County. From its beginning, 19 years ago, Lazarus House has helped men, women and children get back on their feet financially, mentally, physically and spiritually. They are dependent upon volunteers each and every day to share in providing hope and a future to those in need.
You, too, can help your neighbors achieve their goals and dreams. Volunteer today.
