Lake County museum planning weapons sale

The Lake County Forest Preserve District board's finance and administrative committee will meet Thursday to discuss selling more than 400 weapons in the Lake County Discovery Museum's collection and other issues.

The meeting is set for 8:30 a.m. at the district's main office, 1899 W. Winchester Road, Libertyville.

The weapons have no ties to Lake County or any historical significance, officials said. They were donated to the museum decades ago.
