Honor Veterans Day with St. Hugh's Military Service Nov. 8

The leadership of St. Hugh of Lincoln Episcopal Church is extending an invitation to the community to attend a Military Service. You are invited to join the special service at 7 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8. It is specially designed to support the friends and family of military personnel.

Veterans Day is Friday, Nov. 11. Participating in the military service on Nov. 8 will offer a reminder of the importance of the efforts of each and every person who has served, is serving, or will serve in the United States military and the blessings that we all have because of their service. It also includes a prayer for peace.

There are roughly 4,300 veterans living in the Elgin area. Help the church express the community's gratitude and appreciation.

St. Hugh has a special Eucharistic liturgy to support military members, their friends, and families. They want to help everyone remember that the strength and bravery of their efforts as a soldier and, more importantly, as a person will always be appreciated.

In addition to the Veterans Day observance at the Nov. 8 military service, the church holds regularly scheduled Military Services on the second Tuesday and fourth Wednesday of the month.

The church is at 36W957 Highland Ave., off Randall Road in Elgin. For more on St. Hugh of Lincoln and its church mission, visit sthugh.net.
