Make cards for vets

Warren-Newport Public Library in Gurnee will provide an opportunity for people to create holiday cards for military veterans. Set for Veterans Day, Friday, Nov. 11, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., the library will have everything needed to personalize the holiday cards during the free event. The cards will go to those receiving treatment at Chicago-area Department of Veterans Affairs hospitals. Cards, crayons and refreshments will be provided by the Friends of Warren-Newport Public Library. The library is at 224 N. O'Plaine Road.
