Arlington Heights veterans breakfast Nov. 5

All veterans are invited to attend the 5th annual Veterans Celebration and Breakfast hosted by the Veterans Memorial Committee of Arlington Heights from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, at the Lutheran Home Chapel, 800 W. Oakton St., in Arlington Heights.

The event features free breakfast for all veterans and caregivers; a special talk from the Road Home Program at Rush; special celebration and cake cutting by the Northwest Suburban Marine Corps League in honor of the 241st birthday of the USMC; Soldier's Cross Ceremony by the Color Guard of American Legion Post 208; and the annual "Remembering Our Veterans" photo, after the event at 11 a.m.

Breakfast space is limited to the first 200 veterans - from anywhere. First called, first served. Reservations can be made by calling (847) 259-7730.

The Lutheran Home will provide free valet parking for veterans on Nov. 5.
