Blue Whiskey Independent Film Festival Hosts Fundraiser at Smith Street Station

The Blue Whiskey Independent Film Festival will host a fall fundraiser mixer on Saturday, November 5 from 7:00 to 10:00pm at Smith Street Station, 180 N. Smith Street, in Palatine. For ages 21 and over, indie film enthusiasts are invited to participate in a variety of raffles and silent auctions. Items include 2017 Chicago Cubs tickets, Chicago Bulls tickets, Chicago Blackhawks tickets, Koval Whiskey and Cocktail classes, Lynfred Winery and Tour tasting, and gift cards donated by local businesses such as Tap House Bar & Grill and Lou Malnati's.

Tickets are $20.00 per person and can be purchased in advance online at bwiff.com, or at the door. Each guest will receive a door prize ticket eligible for an assortment of festival swag, including coffee mugs, tote bags, whiskey glasses, and more. Regular raffle tickets will be available for $1.00 each, six for $5.00, ten for $12.00, or an arm-span for $25.00.

All proceeds from the event will go to support the eighth annual week-long festival to be held July 23 - 30, 2017 at the AMC Randhurst in Mount Prospect. In addition to prizes, appetizers, a photo booth, and a candy bar, the festival will have 2017 sponsorship and advertising materials available for interested individuals and businesses. Drinks will be available for individual purchase at the bar.

The Blue Whiskey Independent Film Festival is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization based in Palatine. The festival seeks out bold and innovative filmmakers that utilize story elements in a new and exciting way, presenting character-driven independent cinema that is fueled by the filmmaker's passion for the art without large studio support.
