Not Bernie, but ...
We are long-time subscribers and I have often thought about writing to the editor, but never have before, partly because your editors and the paper are so slanted to conservative ideas and issues.
I just celebrated my 70th birthday in September. I tell you this because I proudly voted for Bernie Sanders in the primary. I have liked his ideas for years and our children were all very much for him.
They are the generation that will be running this country, not us baby boomers. I voted for Hillary in the past elections, but was disappointed in her this time, as she seemed lackluster and unenthusiastic.
However, as Bernie is no longer a candidate and he is supporting her, I will vote for Hillary again.
Trump is obviously unsuited to be our president. He is hot-headed, rash and doesn't even listen to advice from his own advisors. He definitely hates women, minorities and anyone else he doesn't agree with.
He also seems to know next to nothing about the economy and foreign affairs.
America is already great. Obama has done a good, if slow, job of getting us back on the right track economically. We don't need any more money for the military. It's already the largest in the world.
Hillary has a depth of experience in government unmatched by most other candidates for the office of president.
She is calm and would not rush headlong into crisis situations. And it's about time we had a woman president, though that's far from her main qualification.
