Palatine man gets jail, probation on drug charges
A 47-year-old Palatine man arrested after a search of his home revealed drugs and drug paraphernalia pleaded guilty Tuesday, court records show.
Mauricio Bravo pleaded guilty to the manufacture and delivery of cannabis, a Class 2 felony. In exchange for the plea, he was sentenced to 69 days in jail and two years probation, according to court records. Bravo was also fined $1,714.
Police say they recovered other controlled substances along with scales, pill capsules and small plastic bags, all of which authorities say are used to package illegal drugs.
Bravo's background includes misdemeanor convictions for telephone harassment, possession of cannabis and violating an order of protection, prosecutors said.
