District 46 board has a vacancy

Grayslake Elementary District 46 is seeking a replacement for school board member Robert Roop, who is moving out of the country. Roop's 4-year seat will be up in the April election. To serve, an individual must be a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years old, and a resident of Illinois and District 46 for at least one year immediately preceding the election. To apply, submit a résumé and cover letter by Wednesday, Oct. 26, to school board secretary Sue Walker at walker.susan@d46.org or at 565 Frederick Road, Grayslake, Illinois 60030. Board members will review all submissions and conduct interviews of selected candidates the week of Oct. 31.
