Carmel tops St. Pat for third straight victory

Carmel 27, St. Patrick 24: Carmel Catholic delivered a 27-24 victory in East Suburban Catholic Conference play.

The victory was a third straight for the Corsairs (5-3, 4-2) and the fourth in their last five games.

More importantly, the victory makes Carmel eligible for the playoffs with an at-large berth. The Corsairs could also clinch a playoff spot with a victory in their Week 9 matchup at Benet Academy next Friday.

St. Patrick slipped to 4-4 overall and 2-3 in the ESCC.
