Get rid of household chemicals

The Solid Waste Agency of Lake County will hold its last mobile household chemical waste collection event of the year Saturday, Nov. 5, in Mundelein. The event will run from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the town's Metra station, 205 N. Archer Ave. Unwanted aerosols, oil-based paints, fertilizer, batteries and other household chemicals, will be accepted. Appointments aren't needed.
