Explosion in Romeoville subdivision injures two

Two gas company workers were injured Tuesday night in a fire at a townhouse complex in Romeoville, ABC 7 reported Tuesday night.

One of the gas company workers was in critical condition, and no one was in the building at the corner of Wespark Boulevard and Strawflower Court when an explosion started the fire, according to ABC 7.

A Nicor Gas spokeswoman said a call reporting the explosion in the Wespark subdivision came in at 7:30 p.m., ABC 7 reported.

Nicor is working with local authorities to investigate the explosion.
