Girls' Night Out raises over $10,000 for senior center

Ladies entered Durty Nellie's ready for fun and pampering at the 11th annual Girls' Night Out fundraising event benefiting the Palatine Township Senior Center.

More than 180 girlfriends, mothers and daughters enjoyed food and drinks, including the Signature Drink, an Upside Down Pineapple Martini. Much fun was had at the photo booth provided by iStar Photobooth.

Music was played by Loren Freeman with Event Mobile Sound, sponsored by Bill and Marla Gillen.

There also were hors d'oeuvres provided by Durty Nellie's, cheesecake bites donated by Eli's Cheesecake and freshly made cookies provided by an anonymous donor.

Mini-manicures were provided by Mario Tricoci Salons and Day Spas; chair massages by Structural-Balance and Mindful Zen Shiatsu; lip pampering by Mari Beth Darling with Mary Kay; and hair styling by Nelson Group Salon.

Twenty-two women were thrilled to win one of the raffle baskets, varying from salon services to theater tickets, purses, specialty items and events.

The "Cork Pull" was once again a huge hit as 60 bottles of wine were sold in a matter of minutes. Some of the winners even received a gift certificate or piece of jewelry on their bottle.

The ladies received a Party Favor donated by Northwest Community Healthcare, upon departure.

"The event was an evening full of fun among friends, family and colleagues as they enjoyed music, food, drinks, photos and pampering stations, all while supporting the senior center and its very important programs," said Carol Reagan, executive director at PTSCC.
