Carpentersville VFW to host Oktoberfest/Halloween Party Oct. 30

Carpentersville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5915

On Sunday, Oct. 30, the Carpentersville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5915 and Auxiliary is sponsoring an Oktoberfest/Halloween Party, featuring all homemade German food.

The menu will include pork schnitzels, red cabbage, German potato salad, spaetzle, vegetable and more. There also will be dessert.

They will be serving from 4 to 7 p.m. at the post home, 301 Lake Marian Road in Carpentersville.

Cost is $12, $6 for children, age 4-11; age under 4 eat free.

The post also will have a combination Halloween Party after the dinner so come dressed for the occasion.

Everyone is welcome. While you're at the post, check out the gaming machines for your entertainment.
