Leyden tops Hinsdale South in OT

Leyden's football team solidified its spot atop the West Suburban Gold standings with a 26-20 victory in overtime Friday at Hinsdale South.

The Eagles improved to 5-2 overall and remain the only unbeaten team in the Gold at 4-0.

Hinsdale South (3-4, 3-2) was the only other team with 3 wins in the league before Friday's games.

Willowbrook (4-2, 2-1) plays Saturday afternoon at Proviso East.

Leyden will host Morton in Week 8 before wrapping up the regular season with a Week 9 matchup at Willowbrook.
