President Obama votes early while visiting Chicago

CHICAGO (AP) - President Barack Obama has cast his vote, stopping by the Chicago Board of Elections to fill out his ballot.

Obama participated in early voting Friday during a visit to his hometown. He's in Chicago to raise money for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and Rep. Tammy Duckworth, who is running for his old Senate seat

He greeted poll workers and then joked as the camera crews stood about 30 feet away: "Now, they can't see me, can they?"

Obama is scheduled to attend a Democratic National Committee event for Clinton on Friday, followed by a fundraiser Sunday for Duckworth, who is trying to unseat Republican Sen. Mark Kirk.
