Prospect Heights honors police officers
The Prospect Heights Police Department presented six members with awards and commendations for their actions in the line of duty at the Monday, Sept. 26, city council meeting.
On July 5, Sgt. Todd Godair and Officer Michael Coglianese responded to a call for an unresponsive subject. They confirmed the subject was suffering from an opioid overdose and administered two injections of Narcan, saving the subject's life.
On July 22, Sgt. Mike Stone and Officer Kevin Lange responded to a call for an unresponsive subject. Upon arrival, they confirmed the subject was suffering from an opioid overdose and administered two injections of Narcan, saving the subject's life.
Detective Sgt. Mark Porlier received a commendation for diligence resulting in a felony conviction of an armed robber.
And Cpl. Jesus Duron received a commendation for his actions Feb. 5. He investigated a suspicious vehicle, resulting in the confiscation of a loaded firearm and a conviction of a gang member for illegal possession of a firearm.
