Harvest Fest is Saturday at Buffalo Grove church
Kingswood United Methodist Church is holding its 11th annual Harvest Fest for the church and community, featuring a family carnival and crafts, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, at 401 W. Dundee Road, Buffalo Grove.
The event includes a petting zoo, bouncy castle, children's games, pumpkin sales and decorating, bake sale, craft fair, food and free family photo. All events are free; there is a nominal charge for food.
At 3 p.m., the award-winning Kingswood Glory Fingers Puppet Team will perform, as will the Kingswood Praise Band. Free screenings for diabetic retinopathy will be offered in conjunction with Illinois Retina Associates.
