Roskam dodging question on trade deal

Is Congressman Peter Roskam committed to the working people of this country or to the corporations? This high priority question is in the form of how he would vote on the controversial Trans Pacific Partnership trade agreement (TPP).

During a Q&A at the Wheaton library, Roskam initially dodged the question explaining there was little chance of it going to a vote in the lame duck session, however the vote signaling and aggressive promotion by the Obama administration indicates otherwise. When challenged again for an answer, he proceeded to muddy the issue by going into an explanation of abbreviated trade labels. This tactic of explaining processes and terms to divert from a legitimate answer is being used on many occasions by the leadership in both parties.

Given the dangerous consequences and evidence of the vast majority of Americans being opposed to these kinds of trade deals, Congressman Roskam must present a clear honest answer to the voters of the 6th Congressional District before November. Is he committed to American workers or the corporate bottom line? If he refuses to tell you how he would vote on the TPP, he does not deserve your vote.
