Palatine Jaycees pizza contest Oct. 16

The Palatine Jaycees are hosting a charity pizza contest at Durty Nellie's Bar and Grill during the Chicago Bears game on Oct. 16.

More than 20 pizza restaurants, all of which deliver to Palatine, are donating pizza to the event.

Participants will get to sample the pizza and then vote on which is best. Restaurants in the running will include Lou Malnati's, Sarpino's and Papa Ray's.

There also will be a 50/50 raffle and a silent auction at the event, which will run from noon until 3 p.m. at 120 N. Smith St.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 6 to 12. Children 5 or under are free. Proceeds go to the Palatine Jaycees.
