Kanye West stops NYC concert due to 'family emergency'

NEW YORK (AP) - A music organizer says Kanye West had to abruptly cut short his appearance at a music festival in New York City due to an "emergency."
It happened while the hip hop artist was performing at The Meadows Music and Arts Festival at Citi Field in Queens Sunday night.
Witnesses tell the Daily News that West told the crowd he was "sorry" there was a "family emergency" and had to "stop the show."
The Meadows Music and Arts Festival sent out a tweet saying "Due to an emergency, Kanye West had to end his performance early."
The two-day festival which ended Sunday included performances from J. Cole, Empire of the Sun, Pretty Lights and others.
