Vernon Hills wins CSL North debut

In the first game for Vernon Hills as a member of the Central Suburban League's North Division, the Cougars were a winner.

Vernon Hills improved to 4-1 overall by coming up with a 10-7 victory over the visiting Warriors (3-2, 0-1) on Friday. Andre Szmyt's 38-yard field goal as time expired won it for the Cougars.

Vernon Hills tied the score at 7-7 on Kyle Hull's 51-yard touchdown pass to Drew Winegardner.
