Prospect Heights swears in new fire chief
Prospect Heights named a new fire chief this week to replace the retired Donald Gould.
Former Deputy Chief Drew Smith was promoted to the top position on Tuesday. He has been with the Prospect Heights Fire Protection District since 1981, spending the last 16 years as deputy chief and leading the department since Gould's retirement in July.
Smith is a graduate of Prospect High School and has a bachelor's degree in fire science management from Southern Illinois University.
