Mark Twain School PTO holds McTeacher's Night

On Tuesday, Sept. 20, Mark Twain School held a successful McTeacher's Night fundraiser at the Wheeling McDonald's.

Mark Twain teachers took over the restaurant serving up meals to friends and families to help raise money for the school. The teachers worked hard all night long cleaning counters, making ice cream cones, working the drive-up, signing for tips and selling pies in a pie costume.

The money raised will go into a fund to support the school.

A special appearance by Ronald McDonald helped make this fundraiser a memorable event. A special thank you goes out to Michelle Gonzalez, who organized the entire event.

Ronald McDonald's appearance was courtesy of McDonald's owner/operator Sue Conley. For information on the Wheeling McDonald's and its events, contact Community Relations Director Julie Travers at julie.travers@comcast.net or visit www.mylocalmcds.com.
