Frank Lampard out 3-to-4 weeks after straining calf muscle
NEW YORK (AP) - New York City FC says midfielder Frank Lampard is expected to be sidelined for three-to-four weeks after straining a muscle in his left calf.
The team said Monday the injury was a low-grade strain of the soleus muscle and is distinct from the injury he sustained earlier this season.
Lampard got hurt during Sunday's game against Dallas. The 38-year-old, a former English national team star, has 12 goals this season.
