Bacca's late goal gives Milan 1-0 win at Sampdoria

GENOA, Italy (AP) - Subsitute Carlos Bacca scored late on to fire AC Milan to a 1-0 win at Sampdoria, moments after the home side had a second goal disallowed on Friday.

Sampdoria had dominated but Milan broke the deadlock following a costly mistake by Milan Skriniar who gave the ball away to Suso. The Spanish defender found Bacca, who fired across into the far side of the net.

It ended a run of two successive losses for Milan. Samp has now also lost two of its first four matches of the season.

Bacca, who scored a hat-trick in a 3-2 win over Torino on the opening day, came off the bench shortly after the hour mark and saw an effort turned off the post by Sampdoria goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano.

Milan counterpart Gianluigi Donnarumma also fingertipped a Luis Muriel effort off his post.

Samp had one strike harshly ruled out for offside, while a Muriel goal was disallowed for handball.
