Washington Street closure on tap

Washington Street at a railroad crossing just west of Lake Street in Grayslake will be temporarily closed at 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16. The Lake County Division of Transportation said the closure is part of the Washington Street underpass construction project. Officials said Washington will reopen to through traffic at 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 19.
