Grain lower, livestock higher

CHICAGO (AP) - Grain futures were lower Thursday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery was 1.50 cents lower at $4.0140 a bushel; December corn was 2.25 cents lower at $3.2940 bushel; December oats was 1 cent lower at $1.7340 a bushel; while November soybeans gained .50 cent to $9.4340 a bushel.

Beef higher and pork prices were higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle was .95 cent higher at $1.0675 a pound; September feeder cattle was .70 cent higher at $1.3338 pound; October lean hogs gained .33 cents to $.5525 a pound.
