Mundelein High School students earn scholarships at arts festival

Four Mundelein High School artists earned $500 scholarships at the sixth annual Mundelein Arts Festival which took place Sept. 10 and 11 at Kracklauer Park in Mundelein.

The juried art festival showcased the talents of 45 artists and craftspeople who work in a variety of media.

Students who earned the awards include senior Nichole Babiez for painting, senior Nicole Casler for photography, freshman Emma Jamison for drawing and junior James Rector for 3-D.

Michael Bale, Jonathan Pruc and Peter Schrenk make up the art faculty at M.H.S. David Mork is the department chair.
