Boys golf: Tenuta's 32 paces Prospect
Prospect's Nick Tenuta fired a 3-under 32 at Mt. Prospect Golf Course to help the Knights past Schaumburg on Tuesday in a Mid-Suburban League boys golf matchup.
Prospect came in at 150 and got 39s from Kevin Placko and Riley Kingston.
Nick Tudor and Miguel Go both had 39s for Schaumburg (155).
• A single stroke was the difference between Palatine and Hersey at Palatine Hills, with the Huskies edging out the Pirates 163-164.
Jason Deans (36) and Josh Glassman (38) led Hersey, while Palatine's low scores came from Matt Weltzien (37) aand Rohan Devaguptapu and Brent Penrose (42s).
• Rolling Meadows' Dan Luhan earned medalist honors by firing a 38, helping paced the Mustangs past Buffalo Grove 160-165 at Buffalo Grove Golf Course.
Matt O'Grady came in at 40 for Meadows, while Buffalo Grove's low men were Kyle Richards and Gavin Wolf (40).
• Tim Crawford paced St. Viator with a 2-over 38 at Crystal Woods Golf Course in Woodstock as the Lions bettered Marian Central 159-176. Brett Seegers paced Marian Cental with a 43.
• Conor Windels and Alex Harrison both fired 43s to help Hoffman Estates past West Chicago 181-195 in a nonconference matchup at Bridges of Poplar Creek.
• Nathan Schmidt's 36 helped Fremd past Elk Grove 156-184 at par-35 Fox Run Golf Course.
• Christian Mirza (43) and Matt Mustari (44) had the low scores for Maine Wes tin a 169-178 loss to Deerfield.
