Let's end complaints on Longmeadow

I realize the media feels some perverse obligation to report on happenings in their region. However, I wish these reporters would evaluate the statements they quote as to whether there is any truth to the statement before including them in their story.

A case in point was a quote about the environmental dangers of the proposed bridge and parkway. First, it should not be news that the Eagle is not an endangered species, as implied. It is not even shown as threatened. On the other hand, Kane is home to one endangered species, the Leafy Prarie Clover. But no one seems to mind when its real habitat is threatened by new home subdivision.

Opponents to the Longmeadow Parkway are not interested in working towards mitigation of the impact of the Parkway. They want it abandoned to the detriment of the majority of the county. Its time to stop listening to their baseless rhetoric and get this bridge built in our lifetime.
