GOP hurt by its definition of morality

Dick in Palatine displayed why Republicans cannot get out of their own way. While I agreed with most of the fiscal message, making "LGBT behavior," abortion and religion the first thing mentioned is the problem with the party.

Republicans scream about sharia law while trying to impose laws based on their religion. For a party that talks so much about Democrats taking away the rights of Americans, why is it that the Republicans are trying to take away the right to have an abortion or marry the person you love?

Making abortion illegal does not decrease the amount of abortions. It just decreases the safety of the woman and sends women to places like Mexico to have abortions performed.

Sorry, but you can't electroshock the gay out of somebody and two men getting married does not make your marriage any less true.

You whisper when you gut my grandmother's Medicare and gut my child's education. Please stop yelling about my brother not being able to marry the man he loves.

Until you can hide your religious crusade in the trunk, it will be hard to convince anybody whose life is not run by religion to get in that car.
