Do we care anymore about dishonesty?

I am sure being dishonest goes back a very long way, I would bet there was a cave man who all the other cave dwellers often said, "you can't believe a word Trog says about anything." But it seems to be getting worse and in a very public way.

I remember thinking many years ago that we were heading for more trouble when it became clear that much of the media was enamored with Bill Clinton's ability to lie. It went from "he is a liar" to "man, but he sure is good at lying."

I wonder how many people even know or remember who Professor Gruber is? He is the economics professor who played a big part in the construction of the Affordable Care Act and is on tape telling audiences that they had to lie about several aspects of the health care bill in order to get it passed into law. He was grilled and humiliated at a public congressional hearing, and then I assume returned to work at MIT and the whole episode passed.

Even now when the news is the entire Obamacare system is collapsing under its own incompetent weight, you still don't hear much about its very expensive and deceptive beginnings.

The stories of Hillary Clinton's dishonesty go back three decades and continue today. These are not exactly minor issues that can be passed off by the usual liberal excuse of good intentions. Yet most of her supporters either don't care or choose to ignore them.

If she is elected, her supporters will never be able to use the excuse of "we had no idea she was so dishonest." It is a known entity and if we choose to not care, we'll get what we deserve, a very corrupt and dishonest president.
