Grayslake park dedication Friday
A public ceremony is set at 3 p.m. Friday to dedicate a new park that replaced a long-vacant gas station at Route 120 and Lake Street in Grayslake. Mayor Rhett Taylor, Grayslake trustees, Village Clerk Cynthia Lee and Esper A. Petersen Foundation representatives will be part of the ceremony. In addition to providing at least $1 million for the project, including the land purchase, the privately funded Petersen Foundation assisted with the park's planning and construction, village officials said.
