Learn about sustainable beekeeping

The Lake County Beekeepers Association will hold a seminar on sustainable beekeeping and preparing hives for fall and winter from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at the C003 Auditorium at the College of Lake County on Washington Street, west of Route 45 in Grayslake. Author and entomologist Larry Connor, who earned three degrees in entomology from Michigan State University, is the featured guest. Cost is $35 for members and $45 for nonmembers, and lunch is included. Attendees must register at www.lakecountybeekeepers.org.
