Gurnee police have released results from a special Labor Day weekend traffic enforcement crackdown. Police said the detail, which ran from Aug. 22 through Tuesday, Sept. 6, led to 23 tickets issued for seat belt violations and two for drivers accused of having suspended or revoked licenses. One ticket was issued to an uninsured driver, police said. The effort was funded by a grant from the Illinois Department of Transportation and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
