Memorial ride planned in Lake County

A memorial motorcycle ride and party in memory of Waukegan Firefighter/Paramedic Kevin Oldham is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 10 at Jesse Oaks, 18490 W. Old Gages Lake Road, Gages Lake. All proceeds will go to firefighters battling cancer and Pancreatic Cancer Research. Organizers from Mohawk Less Cancer said rider register is 9 to 11:45 a.m. and the ride begins at noon with a police escort through Lake County. The cost is $20 for each rider and $10 for each passenger and that includes admission to the after-party starting at 3 p.m. at Jesse Oaks. The party will include live music from "Says Who," food, silent auctions, raffles and purple mohawks. The cost for the after-party only is $10 per person.
