Mother, boyfriend convicted in Indiana toddler's death

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Jurors have convicted an Indiana woman and her boyfriend in the death of the woman's 1-year-old child.

Marion County prosecutors say Diamond Miller and Frank Larkins were found guilty Wednesday in the October 2014 death of Elijah Polk. Prosecutors say neither Miller nor Larkins sought medical attention for the toddler for more than a day while he showed signs of injury.

Officials say emergency responders arrived at family's home on Oct. 29, 2014 and found the toddler dead. Medical examinations found the boy suffered fatal blunt force trauma to his abdomen and that he had previously suffered physical abuse.

Larkins and Miller are to be sentenced Sept. 23.
