This senator is different from the rest
During this troubling election year, I have found a ray of light in Sen. Melinda Bush.
While employed at the College of Lake County, I learned how different she is from other elected officials. She was honest and approachable.
When asked a question, Melinda always answered clearly and with conviction. She is independent and most importantly, she bravely stands up to Michael Madigan.
She voted down Madigan's budgets and her support for term limits on leadership is refreshing and a must. No one should be in leadership for over 40 years.
Melinda does what's right for the people in her district, not what the party leaders demand. In the face of Illinois' political gamesmanship, Melinda puts her constituents first.
She listens to them and keeps her word. Our representative must work for the people of Illinois, not the other way around. I'm a Republican, and I'm voting for Melinda Bush.
