Wheeling Taste of the Town scheduled for Sept. 14

Wheeling's Taste of the Town, an event celebrating local food, wine and beer, will be held from 5-8 p.m. Sept. 14, at the Westin Chicago North Shore, 601 N. Milwaukee Ave.

Twenty restaurants including Ruth's Chris Steak House, Truco Taqueria & Margarita Bar and Superdawg will have tastings and cooking demonstrations.

The night also will feature live music from Storm Interactive Entertainment and a performance from abstract expressionist performance artist Elliott From with Artbeat Live.

A portion of the night's proceeds will go toward the Indian Trails Public Library in Wheeling.
