South African Archbishop Desmond Tutu back in hospital

JOHANNESBURG (AP) - South African anti-apartheid campaigner Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu's family foundation says that he has admitted himself to a Cape Town hospital for treatment of a recurring infection.

The statement issued late Wednesday by his foundation said the Nobel Peace Prize winner is expected to remain in hospital for a week or two. Tutu underwent similar treatment last year. The archbishop's daughter, Thandeka Tutu-Gxashe, said updated information will be released when it is available.
