Prospect Heights cautions on fire solicitations

The city of Prospect Heights has cautioned that some residents and businesses have been approached by companies selling products they claim are endorsed by the Prospect Heights Fire District. The fire district does not promote or endorse products and has demanded the companies cease and desist activity implying a relationship with the fire district or the city, officials said in the city newsletter. They asked that residents or businesses who are approached obtain their contact information and forward it to Acting Fire Chief Drew Smith at dsmith@phfire.com or (847) 253-8060 for follow up.
