Girls golf: Sturonas leads Libertyville

Megan Sturonas fired a 35 to collect medalist honors, and Libertyville's girls golf team shot a 161 to defeat Deerfield (181) at Willow Glen on Tuesday.

Simone Mikaelian added a 39 for the Wildcats, who also received a 42 from Colby Roberts and matching 45s from Ryan Spracklen and Sydney Spracklen.

Deerfield was led by Elyse Emerzian's 36.

"Our team is excited to get the win, but really excited for Megan, who is finding her stride in her senior season," Libertyville coach Greg Pedersen said.
