St. Edward Catholic High celebrating 75 years

On Saturday, Oct. 15, St. Edward Central Catholic High School, 335 Locust St. in Elgin, is celebrating its 75th anniversary starting with an open house at noon.

Join school families, alumni, and community members in a day of events to celebrate 75 years of devoted discipleship and excellence in education.

School tours will be offered at noon, 1 and 2 p.m.

Mass with Bishop David J. Malloy of the Rockford Diocese will be at 4 p.m. at St. Laurence Catholic Church, 572 Jewett St. in Elgin

The 75th Anniversary Celebration will be 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. at Moretti's Ristorante and Pizzeria, 1175 W. Lake St. in Bartlett. Enjoy food, drink, music, and fun. You must be 21 or older. Tickets are $30 per person. Reservation deadline is Oct. 5.

Anyone with memorabilia to share for display that day should email alumni@stedhs.org.
